Mardi Gras at Landers McLarty Subaru 2022
February 19,2022
It had been two years since we were able to have any real events because of COVID.
We were going to have some fun and what better way than a Mardi Gras themed event! So I dusted off all the decorations! Ordered the King Cakes, coffee and tea!!
There is a story behind the Randazzo’s Camellia City Bakery. The best King Cakes in Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. There was so much devastation that even I had a difficult time going back until 2012. Even seven years later the scars on the city were still visible. Fast forward ten years from that fateful day, and I finally found them. They chose to build in Slidell, La. There are several Randazzo’s bakeries but this is the one featured on the Food Network, Rachel Ray show, Good Morning America and USA Today.
Back to the event! It was like a reunion as some of us hadn’t seen each other for two years!! There were six Ambassadors present. The smiles were enormous!! We visited with new and old friends. We discussed plans for future events especially for the Subaru Love Promise ones.
Friends and families came by to try the king cake, get some beads, doubloons, face masks and more for the kids (that is kids of all ages, big and small)! Mardi Gras music playing in the background helping with the festivities. We even had one little girl dress up. She was precious.
Reached out to the customers waiting for their vehicles in service. And we even welcomed a new couple into the Subaru family!! You know that saying, “you can’t eat just one”, and apparently that goes for slices of king cake too!
The employees also got into the mood wearing face masks, beads and of course enjoying the cake!
So thankful to have such a great relationship with Landers McLarty Subaru. And of course it wouldn’t have been so successful without everyone coming out!
