Subaru Ascent Preview

Excitement was in the air as we awaited the arrival of the Ascent. Subaru of America (SOA) finally entered the market of the larger SUV so that as families outgrew their Foresters and Outbacks, they would now have the ability to stay with the brand they loved.
To encourage pre-orders and showcase the Ascent, Preview Tours were scheduled. The date at Landers McLarty Subaru was May 23rd. It was the perfect opportunity for interested parties to see, touch and ask questions.
Individual test drives were not an option, however you could opt for a ride. At least you could experience the quiet of the cabin, the suspension on the road and the effectiveness of the eyesight technology.
We had a great turnout!!
The Ascent will come in either seven- or eight-seat configurations, is offered in all-wheel-drive and is based on a modified version of the same Subaru Global Platform that underpins the Impreza. It's powered by an all-new 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder that makes 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
